SUPPORT GROUP POLICY

To ensure The Migraine Network Support Group space remains safe, supportive, and respectful for everyone, all participates must follow our policy:

 

  • Confidentiality: What is shared in the group stays in the group. Please respect the privacy of others by not sharing their stories, names, or personal details outside of our sessions.

  • Respect: Everyone’s experiences and perspectives are valid, and there is no room for judgment or criticism.

  • Active Listening: Allow others to speak without interruption. Please wait your turn to share, and give others the same courtesy you would like in return.

  • Non-Discrimination: This group is a safe space for all, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability. Hate speech, discriminatory remarks, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

  • Support, Not Advice: This group is about offering support, not medical treatment. Always encourage participants to consult their healthcare provider for medical concerns.

  • Be Mindful of Time: To give everyone a chance to participate, please keep your contributions concise and relevant to the discussion topic.

  • Zero Tolerance for Harassment: Any form of harassment, bullying, or disruptive behavior will result in removal from the group.

 

By joining this group, you agree to uphold this Code of Conduct and contribute to a positive and supportive environment for all members.

To preserve a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for everyone, all members are required to adhere to this Code of Conduct. Failure to do so may result in the revocation of your membership and access to future support group sessions.
